Build a canine empire, one good dog at a time.

Barkopolis is a turn-based 4X strategy game where dog packs explore, settle, research, trade, and compete for Best in Show. Deep enough for strategy veterans, gentle enough for kids — nobody ever dies; beaten pups simply Tail-Tuck and run home.

A Barkopolis map in mid-game: three dog cities — a walled gold capital, a red-roofed rival town, and a small hamlet — with scouts, workers, and warrior dogs of six coat colors spread across grassland, snow, rivers, and a raft crossing the water.

The Yard Bulletin

The yard keeps growing

August 2026 · The Painted Yard

The whole yard sat for a portrait: every dog rebuilt in painterly 3D, walk cycles for proud trots, rafts for the brave, and cities that grow walls, wonders, and piers.

August 2026 · v1.5 — The Bargaining Age

The packs learned to bargain, to spy politely, to retrain their veterans, and to raid the raccoon dens. The Bard reports exactly one grudge is now held at a time, properly.

August 2026 · v1.4 — Across the Water

Pups took to the water on rafts, wore Sniff Trails into the grass, and the judges agreed that every show ends by turn 300 — ribbons for the readiest.

For parents

Built kid-safe from the first line of code

Barkopolis was made by a parent, for kids and grown-ups to enjoy on equal footing. There is conflict — it's a strategy game — but it is cartoon scuffles all the way down: a defeated pup yelps, Tail-Tucks, and runs home to try again another day.
